Seeing is Believing

Amidst the Holy Week crunch, we took a moment to enjoy Derek DelGaudio's In & of Itself. It's a compelling 90 mins of storytelling, illusion, and mentalism. And I couldn't help be reminded of Thomas—longing to believe, but needing to see. However, if we have an explanation, there's no need (or room) for faith. The opposite of faith isn't doubt—it's certainty.
Faith in the impossible is what enchants and delights.
This Easter, your commitment to this parish and all we serve is an astounding testament to your faith. St. Monica can reach across the street, across the country, and even across the globe to form and transform disciples. Despite the struggles of the pandemic and all those whom we have lost—love and faith abound. These are uncertain times indeed, which is why our hope and belief in the Lord's transcendence fills our hearts. Everything we have the privilege to undertake at St. Monica relies on your faith and generosity. We celebrate you and thank you immensely for your goodness, love, and prayer this Easter and throughout the year! Alleluia! Thank you!
