Together, We Are "Called to Renew"

As you might imagine, over the last 133 years, the parish and schools of St. Monica have developed and executed many master plans. As parishioners and parents, we hope that you are proud that nearly all of the elements of the most recent 2007 have come to fruition. One of the hallmarks of our Catholic community is the beautiful facilities that help us worship, connect, and learn. The final piece of the master plan is Cantwell Auditorium. Coincidentally, all 287 have been invited to participate in a historic capital and endowment campaign to elevate parishes and boldly renew how we live out our faith as loving disciples who will transform the world.
We have been conducting a feasibility study for the past few weeks to prepare for this initiative. Part of that study includes an in-pew questionnaire that the entire community will participate in next weekend at all Masses. Your input is a unique opportunity to evaluate our plans and capacity to realize this vision. It will not be a solicitation; we only ask for your honesty and prayers.
It’s a beautiful coincidence that the high schools’ fall production of Our Town opens this same weekend. It continues next weekend as well, so take the opportunity to enjoy the play and support our students, who deserve a beautiful performing arts space with actual theatre-style seating and the proper acoustics. Our parish community welcomes many inspiring and prominent speakers and presenters who deserve a leading presentation space and a comfortable environment for their audiences.
We strive never to stop growing. Called to Renew is the next step, and I hope you’ll agree that it’s an exciting time for our parish. Join us and take part.
